About Us

Marie Pet Rescue is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) puppy rescue based in Placer County, California, focused on providing high-quality, compassionate puppy and pet adoptions.

As a cage-free, no-kill organization, we’re powered by a passionate team of dedicated volunteers—many of whom have been fostering and supporting adopters since 2009. We saw the need for a more personal approach to rescue and adoption, and that’s exactly what we provide.

Our puppies are lovingly fostered in our own homes so we can truly get to know each one’s personality. We believe in a calm, customized adoption process—free from the stress and noise of a shelter. Private meet-and-greet appointments let you see a more genuine side of each pet. We pride ourselves on offering thoughtful, one-on-one guidance throughout the adoption journey—from your first message to post-adoption check-ins. We’re experts at helping you find the best puppy match for your family.

HOW WE RESCUE

We operate without bureaucratic barriers, helping puppies turned away by other shelters due to city/county rules, age, or special medical needs—cases where they might otherwise face euthanasia. We focus on underserved communities with limited animal rescue access. Our outreach includes TNR support, spay/neuter services for owned pets, and practical resources for families with unaltered puppies and pets.

Our foster network and volunteer system are well-established—but our biggest hurdle is consistent funding. With no government assistance and unreliable grant access, we rely on the generosity of private donors who want to help relieve the suffering of unclaimed puppies and pets.
